Windows 7 Reviews and Reports On last months news and events I had posted a great article
outlining the best practices on upgrading your system to Windows 7. I went
through the setup process and found it to be a little long and cubersome about
2-3 hours to be exact. I can only imagine how long it would have took if I
hadn't gone step by step as last months article had
outlined. Luckily for me the system I upgraded didn't have to much data and
software that I had to transfer and reinstall. Keep in mind that you will have
to sacrifice some of your programs in the process of this upgrade. Although
they say that if your programs run on Vista it should have no problems running
on Windows 7. Adobe Photoshop Elements on a clients pc however did not make
the transition. I'm sure this would apply to a whole other list of software
titles. Needless to say that you will come across software and driver incompatibilities.
At first glance Windows 7 appeared to look and function like Windows Vista
which truthfully disappointed me. I didn't expect a drastic face lift on the
new OS but didn't want to be painfully reminded of Vista. Actually I don't
want to come off like Vista was a total flop because many aspects of its design
(such as the revised administrative tools) show a welcome maturity and thoughtfulness;
but the product did not receive much love in the marketplace.
My overall opinion of the OS is that it is far from new. You can pretty much
say that it is a greatly polished version of Vista, one reviewer stated it as "Vista
R2" which after reading his article and seeing for myself that he is pretty
dead on. It can also be viewed as a big service pack to the old OS Vista. I have
attached this great article from Global
Knowledge in it you will find allot of useful
nuggets that might sway your decision on upgrading to Windows 7.

Apple Black Friday Sale Rumors
Apple Black Friday Online only Sale
As you may already know, Apple never has sales on their products I heard from a good reliable source on ZDNet.com that last week BGR posted a rumored leak of Apple’s Black Friday sale that included 25% off Macs and 30% off iPods. Today Apple made its Black Friday sale official but didn’t reveal any specifics. It sounds to me that this leak might be official or I at least hope. The deals whoever will only be available online so get your atm/credit cards ready since these deals don't come by often.
